Sustainability & Responsibility

At Journey of Something our environmental footprint and social responsibility are extremely important to us. These topics impact our decision making on a daily basis and influence how we run our business. We are far from perfect, but we are moving forward and everyday we improve our practices. Here are some of the ways we are being better.

Reduce Reduce

No more shrinkwrap. Whereas our puzzles and other products used to be protected by shrinkwrap, we now request all factories to omit shrinkwrap. No more blister packs either. Our products are housed in paper or cardboard packaging. In general, we make every effort to reduce the use of plastic in our products and our office. As well as plastic, we are conscious about the lifecycle of other elements of our products. For example, even the rocks in our rock kits are responsibly sourced.

Innovation Innovation

We are constantly looking for innovative techniques to improve the way we make our products and the materials that we use. Have we made any progress? You bet! We are excited to announce that we will be launching the first ever plastic free sparkle art kits...If you look closely at our packaging you will see that our boxes are especially designed to house all the components of your kits without using blister packs. We use a lot of nifty folding and brown paper bags instead!

Giving Back Giving Back

We support many different local and national charities and community organisations with free products for fetes, raffles and auctions. On a personal level, we are involved with various organisations that we contribute funds, time and graphic design assistance to.

We choose the factories we work with carefully. We only work with factories that have achieved a high level of ethical, social and safety compliance. All our factories use FSC certified paper. Every product we produce is thoroughly evaluated against the compliance requirements of the country it is entering.
